So Much Better Than AI Headshots

Last week, I experienced both the highs and lows of an evolving market. I’m human, just like you. However, I’m an artist. I specialize in headshots for business executives and professionals.

Last week, I received a message that put me in a funk for a few days! It challenged my worth. The message read:

“I hate to say it, but AI did the trick for my headshot. Maybe next time.”

I couldn’t believe it. Not because I was unaware that AI headshots are a thing, but because this message came from someone who is friends with recent clients of mine. The friends’ headshots are literally the reason we were in correspondence.

Do they not understand the difference between what I do and what the online artificial intelligence headshot website provides?

Note to self: That’s another marketing point!

But I’m here to celebrate the highs, too. This one is from Megan Simler, who booked an in-studio make-up and headshot session with me last week. During her session, we talked a lot, listened to music, laughed, and made some phenomenal images along the way.
